In this Travel CG Photography series, I aimed to recreate travel photographs I took on my iPhone while travelling. This series explore the landscape and architectural composition through my lenses, what I wished to see but didn't, what might I have missed while on a time-limited trip, and my interpretation of the vibe of an unfamiliar town or city.
First stop: Schwangau, Germany
The town that inspired Disney's famous castle, with so many histories around this landscape, a few hours trip in this town was definitely not enough.

In June 2019, I took the bus from Füssen, Germany to the tourist area of Schwangau, Germany to visit the two castles and the museum there. While the famous Neuschwanstein Castle blow my mind, there is something about the Hohenschwangau Castle that attracted my attention.
In my travel photograph piles, I only have a few photo of the castles itself. The only photo of the Hohenschwangau Castle I took was this picture on the right. Something about this pathway leading to the main castle carries a lot of weights in the foundation of this area.
Since this castle is only open to the public during the day, I decided to recreate it in 3D for a night time photography.
